\"I_Voted.__Did_You.\"Voting took place nationwide today.\u00a0 My race was pretty small, only our Governor, LT. Governor, Attorney General, and local races.\u00a0 After I voted, I was chit-chatting with one of the persons pounding the pavement in front of the poll places, and they stated that there were no major lines to speak of.<\/p>\n

That got me to thinking, why don’t people turn out for the mid-term elections?\u00a0 They are just as important as the nationwide ones.\u00a0 In my mind, as a voter, the lesser the turn out, the more impact your single vote has.\u00a0 Do folks just not want to take the time?<\/p>\n

On another topic; this election I did something I normally wouldn’t consider.\u00a0 I voted, not<\/strong><\/em> based upon who I think would be the best person for the job, but I choose the lesser of the evils represented.\u00a0 There wasn’t ONE<\/span> candidate running for Governor of Virginia that represented my views.\u00a0 Well; there was one, but he dropped out of the race early on.<\/p>\n

It makes my mind wander.\u00a0 I think my cat and I will have to discuss this further….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
