\"Merry<\/a>It is during this time of year that I come into my own.\u00a0 This is; without a doubt my favorite time of year!\u00a0 As the Grinch who stole Christmas once said, “Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas . . . perhaps . . .means a little bit more!”<\/p>\n

What is Christmas?\u00a0 Two things I know for sure…It’s not about the shopping and gifts, and like religion itself, it can be very personal.\u00a0 Some absolutely love this time of year (like me!), but I know others who have experienced loss during this time, and Christmas is very hard on them emotionally.\u00a0 We all know the history behind Christmas, and why there is all this fuss…or do we?\u00a0\u00a0 If you like reading, there is a good article about Christmas<\/span><\/u><\/a> (written in 2013, I encourage you to visit their homepage, interesting), and it’s beginnings; and why we should, or shouldn’t, care.<\/b><\/i><\/u><\/p>\n

I would like to take this moment and thank all those who participate in this exchange of knowledge, which I affectionately call “my dive.”\u00a0 Without the dissenting points of view; neither of us would grow; and that would be a shame.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 I hope I have encourage those that visited here to use that gray matter between the ears, its not there to keep the shape of your head, it is there because we each are individuals, with our own thoughts and wishes for our future, both individually, for our families & friends; but just as much as the future of this great land we call: America.<\/p>\n

I would also\u00a0like to take this opportunity and get on my soapbox.\u00a0 I am not a member of the “Happy Holiday” bunch.\u00a0 I say Merry Christmas.\u00a0 If that offends you, sorry about that; no disrespect intended.\u00a0 I understand Christmas is not the only holiday in December<\/a>.\u00a0 Feel free to wish me a “Happy Hanukah,”\u00a0“Happy Kwanzaa,” “Happy Ashura,” “Happy Yom Kippur,” “Happy Yalda,” and “Happy Winter Solstice;”\u00a0 I will not be offended, and if\u00a0I don’t know of your celebration,\u00a0please\u00a0inform me.<\/p>\n

To me and my family, Christmas has a lot of meaning, symbolism and tradition.\u00a0 But that is an article for another day.\u00a0 No matter your religion or lack there of, I extend to you, a very hearty, Merry Christmas<\/strong><\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n
