We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Resort for a total of eight nights.\u00a0 Our goal for this vacation was relaxation for the bosslayd (I took my work with me).\u00a0 We did not visit any of the area attractions. We exchanged here through RCI into a one bedroom. The resort is easy to get into and out of; but it is B-I-G.\u00a0 The resort is close (which is a relative term in Orlando) to all the major attractions. The resort is very kid friendly, with planned activities everyday (for both adults and children).<\/p>\n

The unit was sized well for the two of us.\u00a0 Not the biggest 1BR we\u2019ve stayed in, but very comfortable none-the-less.\u00a0 The unit was clean and well maintained.<\/p>\n
The kitchen was adequately stocked.\u00a0 It had all the usual cookware and glassware.\u00a0 The kitchen had granite countertops and the appliances were towards the higher end of others we\u2019ve seen in timeshares.<\/p>\n
We did have one problem during our stay.\u00a0 The bosslady didn\u2019t sleep well the first couple of nights.\u00a0 When we informed the front desk they immediately sent a maintenance guy to check out the bed.\u00a0 As it turns out, the resort is in the process of replacing older bedding (we had an older mattress).\u00a0 The quickly replaced the mattress and box spring, which made the bosslady happy and she slept well for our remaining time.<\/p>\n
This resort is easy to get to from I-4 (except for the traffic).\u00a0 It\u2019s also \u201cclose\u201d to all the major mouse attractions.\u00a0 We saw a lot of people walking within the area to nearby places to eat, shop and the like.<\/p>\n
The resort is in excellent condition given it\u2019s age.\u00a0 There were always maintenance personnel working on various aspects of the grounds\/buildings.\u00a0 The resort was impeccably clean and I\u2019d say well maintained.<\/p>\n
We ate at the \u201cTiki\u201d restaurant, from which I highly recommend the pizza.\u00a0 It is made fresh and, while kind of pricey, it\u2019s well worth it.\u00a0 Another good place to eat was Landry\u2019s Seafood, which is located across the street.\u00a0 If you plan to eat there, check with the concierge desk for the free appetizer.<\/p>\n
Check-in was pretty easy, and all the staff we had interactions with were superb.\u00a0 To a man (woman) they greeted you with a smile and happy greeting.\u00a0 Checking-out was a breeze by simply dropping our keys in the dropbox when leaving the resort.\u00a0 There were no unexpected fees on our bill.<\/p>\n
I would recommend this resort in a second.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
