Greetings everyone, contrary to popular belief, the good DR hasn’t fallen off the planet (sorry Fred). I’ve been keeping a pretty low profile as I struggled through some challenges which you really don’t need to be bored with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As most of us working folks know, there seems to be more month then there is paycheck. I have been actively trying to rectify this “sit-iation” (yes, I know it is misspelled). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m not sure if you remember, but a few years ago I was dipping my toe in the stock trading arena, needless to say, I was overwhelmed and my account was quickly distributed to more knowledgeable folks than I. It was\u2026. disheartening. Well, a few months ago, I decided to try it again (actually, I was browsing through some old mail and stumbled across my old account statement, and was pleasantly surprised to find I still had a dollar in it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don’t often discourage folks from pursuing things, but I would like to take this moment and let you know of a trading education company called “online trading academy.” They offer some really good info, and I have to give the credit to them as to lighting that fire in my bahooty to start looking into trading again. Their free 1\/2 day and the paid three day courses are worth the dollars. But the follow on training is very expensive (did I say very, I mean V-E-R-Y). For a father with a small account, I needed to find a different row to how. I have spent the past few months looking, watching youtube and all the other crazy stuff fathers do to keep the income on the right side of the columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Totally by accident, when researching the TD Ameritrade tool “Think or Swim,” I stumbled across a group called the “Bullish Bears.” How can you not like a logo like this: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\nI have watched several of their videos, and they seem pretty down to earth and goals are not crazy stupid (like wanting to buy an airplane); so I figured what the hell and decided to give them a chance, it fit my price point perfectly (remember, small account). I have decided that I’m going to try and write about my successes (and failures). I will not be disclosing dollar amounts, but will be discussing mechanics of trading and what I find appealing and such (I really don’t know, as I’m new to all this). I’m looking forward to my education.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the record, TD Ameritrade has a fantastic education section, and I highly encourage anyone who reads this to check it out. Keep posted, as I’m also going to try and write more. I’m shooting for weekly, so hopefully I’ll be writing at least monthly, it’s good for my soul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
